Where It All Began....

Having always been interested in practical tasks, it was clear from a young age that my interest and skill set would continue to grow. Growing up I would often be found with a tool in my hand helping both of my Grandad's out with jobs around the house.

Forward on a few years and school leaving age came around. It was clear that Sixth Form and A-Levels was not the route for me, so I went into an apprenticeship as an electrician. Attending the local college once a week and on site learning I became a qualified electrician three years later. This has given me the electrical knowledge and skills that I hold today.

Right from when I first discovered the term of upcycling I have always taken an interest in it. Finding an old treasure, putting your own stamp on it and creating a one of a kind product gives a great sense of achievement. I started off with furniture upcycling, but decided it was time for a new challenge and turned my attention to glassware. Knowing that companies spend a lot of time and effort on the design of their beautiful bottles, I just couldn't help but extend their journey by giving them a second life.

I first came up with idea of Redefined Glass back in 2022 and after a short while put my ideas into practice. I spent a few months perfecting my techniques of handcrafting various items ready to showcase my new product range. Bringing my ideas to life was a great feeling and I couldn't wait to spread the word. My electrical qualifications allow me to undertake all electrical work on the products, giving you a piece of mind.

Over the Christmas season I will be attending local craft fairs and can not wait to showcase my product range.

Thank You, Luke
